Abbott moves cross hairs from ‘carbon tax’ to market for ‘invisible gas’

Now that the government has decided to ditch the carbon tax, Tony Abbott has today lashed out at emissions trading, calling it “a so-called market in the non-delivery of an invisible substance to no-one”. But one economist has told The Wire that the debate over what system to use in reducing our emissions is mostly distraction from the real debates we need to have about climate change.
