The NSW Opposition Leader, Barry O’Farrell says if he wins next month’s election, he will dramatically alter the government’s metropolitan housing plan. He wants to cut high rise and medium density developments, from the current goal of 70% down to about 50 per cent. The remarks signal a retreat from the ALP policy of trying to limit urban sprawl.
