Last year’s National Apology to the Stolen Generations was seen at the time as a major step forward for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. But many now think it was nothing more than a symbolic gesture and has done little to improve the lives of Indigenous Australians. One year on from the Apology, the Government has introduced a Healing Foundation.
