Healing Our Spirit is the goal of delegates who have travelled from around the world for a Summit starting in Cairns today. The Healing Our Spirits worldwide movement began 14 years ago to address substance misuse by indigenous peoples. Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council Director Scott Wilson is one of the organisers. Mr Wilson says the conference will follow up on issues identified by the 3000 delegates at the last summit in Albequerque – such as furthering an international treaty or “covenant”.
