Until recently The Northcott Public Housing Estate in Surry Hills, Sydney, was known for its drug and social problems and such scandals like the “skeleton man” who lay dead and unnoticed in his flat for six months. But a new documentary aims to document moves aimed at revitalising the community, most notably a production put on for the 2006 Sydney Festival. Director of the documentary Frank Haines discussed the mythology behind Northcott.
