Indigenous representatives met at Uluru to announce a framework for constitutional change today

Tomorrow May 27 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum to include Aboriginal people in the commonwealth.

But on the eve of the day, a number of misconceptions about the vote remain.

It comes as Aboriginal delegates in Uluru adopted a statement for constitutional change which includes an ‘Indigenous voice in constitution’ and a Marraketta commission to supervise agreement making between First Nations people and different levels of government.
