The Prime Minister has been in News South Wales’ far south coast today, announcing a $ six million dollar upgrade to the Merimbula Airport. But despite his best attempts to draw focus to his infrastructure plan, the Medicare rebate freeze is still high up on the national agenda. GP’s ‘no Medicare freeze’ campaign has been biting, and saw Health Minister Sussan Ley tell the ABC she’d like to see the rebate freeze lifted – only Treasury won’t let her.
