2011 is already the worst year (cost-wise) for natural disasters on record, and we are barely halfway through. In the first six months we’ve seen $265 billion in economic losses, even higher than those set in 2005. These recent trends hit insurance companies hard, and The Wire’s Wade Stephens asks Karl Sullivan of The Insurance Council of Australia what this means for insurance premiums.
