18 young Aboriginal apprentices are set to cross the finish line after years of hard work tonight, with the SA Aboriginal Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony. The $1.1 million apprenticeship scheme began 6 years ago, and its success has secured it a place in the state’s budget next year. Alex Parry asked SA Further Education Minister Paul Caica how the program differs from regular city apprenticeships, while jockey apprentice Peter Roff rates his personal success in the scheme.
