An archeological collaboration between the GunaiKurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation and Monash University unearthed evidence of 12,000 year old rituals.
The archaeological excavations revealed two small fireplaces, each with a shaped single stick embedded within, remarkably preserved through animal fat.
The Wire’s contributor Jahan Rezakhanlou investigated with Professor Bruno David from Monash University and GunaiKurnai Elder Uncle Russell Mullett about the find.
