Ziggy, an emerging Indigenous hip hop artist, has topped the Triple j Unearthed hip hop charts.

But his recently dropped EP ‘Black Thoughts’ is more than just music.

His track discusses genocide, historical amnesia and society’s ongoing use of blackface. Topics, he says, that need to be discussed in today’s society.

Ziggy’s ancestors come from the Wik national tribe from Arakoon in Cape York
