A survey entitled ‘Starved of Opportunity’ released today reveals that young people on income support are forgoing essentials in order to make ends meet.

Many report being forced to move back to their family homes, feeling socially isolated and dropping study loads due to financial pressure.

The survey was compiled by the Australian Council of Social Services, National Union of Students and YOUNG Campaigns in a bid to support calls to #RaiseTheRate.
