Huge projects like hospitals, roads and transport corridors make great headlines for politicians at the promise stage. Unfortunately those  headlines turn bad as such projects  come in over budget, over time, or just don’t do the job they were meant to. Research shows that successful big projects are the exception, with almost a quarter failing in some way, and it’s  usually due to politics, poor planning or a lack of good project management training.
