Malcolm Turnbull has called on migrant communities to become ‘Australian Patriots’.
He made the remark whilst updating the House of Representatives on the status of Australia’s national security. This has come off the back of proposed citizenship changes which will grant Immigration Minister Peter Dutton personal oversight on who is granted citizenship, and the level of English which new migrants will have to demonstrate.
Is this just isolating migrant communities further?
