The Energy Supply Association of Australia has released a study into the potential for electric vehicles to contribute to the transformation of transport in Australia. The paper, titled Sparking an Electric Vehicle Debate in Australia, outlines the social and infrastructural barriers to electric vehicle adoption, as well as its benefits. One particular barrier is the so-called ‘range anxiety’ people get when considering the distance they’d be able to travel with a full engine. But is this problem real or imagined?
