WA police officer charged with Yamatji woman Joyce Clarke’s murder

A police officer has been charged with murder after shooting Joyce Clarke, a Yamatji woman in September last year.

Police were called by Clarke’s sister for assistance after she had been walking the streets of Karloo, Geraldton with a knife.

According to WA Police Commissioner, Chris Dawson, it has been 93 years since an officer has been charged with murder while in the line of duty.
