This year in Syria, nearly two million children have been forced to leave their homes. In Gaza, more than fifty-thousand children were left homeless as a result of a 50-day conflict. Up to ten-thousand children in the Central African Republic have been recruited as child soldiers.

2014 has seen a spike in the number of child victims of armed conflict worldwide, according to a report by the United Nations Children’s Fund.   Roughly 15 million children are directly victimised by armed conflicts.
