Malcolm Turnbull’s refusal to condemn President Donald Trump’s controversial visa ban has been criticised by refugee advocates.

The ban, which blocks citizens of seven Muslim countries from entering the US, has attracted opposition worldwide.

In Australia, it leaves asylum seekers on Nauru and Manus Island in limbo as they wait to hear the fate of the Turnbull government’s US resettlement deal.

President Trump has promised the deal will go ahead, but after sacking acting US Attorney General Sally Yates, advocates aren’t so certain.
