President Donald Trump has unveiled an executive order targeting social media companies after Twitter fact-checked one of his tweets relating to mail-order voting.

If it actually has the force of law, the order would allow social media companies to be sued for actions made by their users.

It comes as the country faces a massive coronavirus death toll, now surpassing 100 000 people and riots in the northern city of Minneapolis over the death of African American man George Floyd by police.
