The Northern Territory’s only remote alternative to youth detention, a facility run by BushMob near Alice Springs, has been forced to close down amid safety concerns and insufficient resources.

The trail program had been running at Loves Creek Station for over a year with positive results. Organisers say the government isn’t doing enough to lower youth incarceration rates in the state.
