Tony Abbott has declared he is ready and willing to shirt-front Russian president, Vladimir Putin at the upcoming G20 summit in Brisbane. Tensions between the two nations have been growing since the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 crash earlier this year.
Whilst the comment may have been a lapse on Tony Abbott’s part, anti-violence activists say the comments are highly inappropriate, and reflect Australian’s attitudes towards masculinity and violence in our culture.
