Rallies were held in two of Australia’s capital cities today. The anti wind power website Stop These Things staged a rally in Canberra, while lobby group GetUp! held a pro wind power rally outside Sydney’s Parliament House.

The Commonwealth has legislated a 20 per cent renewable energy target to be achieved by 2020 and the increasing use of wind power is key to reaching that goal. Senators with a very hesitant attitude to wind power could hold the balance of power after the election.
