Taliban leader captured in Pakistan

Reports are coming in from Afhganistan that the Taliban’s second in command, Mullah Baradar, has been captured in the Pakistani city of Karachi, after a secret joint operation by Pakistani and American intelligence services. The Wire’s Afghanistan Correspondent, Jay Cameron, says the capture is a significant win for the Obama administration who have been hungry for a good news story.
