October 14th to 20th is Carers’ week and each state and territory have been celebrating the amazing work carers do. While carers do their job for love, they face many challenges and Carers Week is an important way of recognising this.
According to the Carers’ Australia website, a family carer provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, a mental illness, a chronic condition, a terminal illness, or who is frail.There have been a number of events recognising carers for all their work.
