Dutch Super trawler the Geelong Star has been fishing off the coast of Australia for the last few years. With huge nets in tow, the ship has taken significant amounts of fish from Australian waters, to the anger of local fisherman. This week, in the dead of night, the Geelong Star slipped away, damage done. However, it and other trawlers could be back to take more marine life from our waters. Locals hope that the Australian Government will take action to ban such trawlers.
