In the May Budget Treasurer Scott Morrison proposed changes to superannuation that will impact the amount people can contribute to their super account on a tax free basis, as well as the tax concession for people who have large amounts of super saved.

The cuts have been causing the Federal Government a headache with voters, but for those heading towards retirement or have already retired there are other issues they want our politicians to take notice of.

Australia has an aging population and 47 per cent  of voters in the upcoming election will be over the age of 50.

It’s a significant voice at the ballot box and in Brisbane today, lobby group National Seniors Australia, launched their Seniors Vote campaign.

They want a better deal for older Australians.
