A national campaign today aimed to shut down Australia for one hour, a protest against community closures in Western Australia. The event had international support with events taking place across the globe from Berlin to New Zealand. But it was the rallies across Australia that drew attention to issues facing Aboriginal Australians: incarceration rates, child removal and the closures of not so remote communities.
