The Independent Planning Commission is hearing evidence in relation to Santos’ proposed $3.6 billion gas field project.
Today they met with the four member Independent Water Expert Panel in response to powerfully expressed local concerns about the potential damage to essential water supplies.
Fierce opposition to the gas field proposal has also come from the local Indigenous Gomeroi people.
