Tony Abbott’s “biggest bonfire of regulations in history” has the Electrical Trades Union worried about other fires. With the Pink Batts Royal Commission still investigating the insulation initiatives lack of regulation that failed workers and consumers, cuts to health and safety areas are not being welcomed. Just announced are changes to insurance scheme Comcare resulting in less safety inspectors on worksites, which the ETU believes puts employees at further risk.
