For many, access to the internet is such a key aspect of Australian society that we can’t imagine a life without it. Sending an email, making a phone call, or signing up for an essential government service is just at our finger tips, with high speed access a luxury which we have begun to take for granted. But for many people across Australia’s rural indigenous communities, getting online is still just dream. Issues facing remote indigenous communities access to the internet were being talked about at the Australian Internet Governance Forum today in Melbourne.
