North Korea announced today that the Korean peninsula is heading toward war and it is ready to tear up all agreements with the South. This comes after an investigation team made up of experts from the US, Australia, Britain and Sweden concluded that it was a North Korean torpedo which was responsible for sinking a South Korean warship in March and killing 46 sailors. The US says there ‘will definitely be consequences’ for North Korea and China urges restraint and is not criticising the North.
