On February 14th 2004, 17 year old Thomas ‘TJ’ Hickey was killed while riding his bike through Waterloo, after being pursued by police.

The following evening local residents gathered at Eveleigh Street, which eventually turned into what we now know as the Redfern Riots.

How is their impact felt in the Redfern community today, and what do people say about Hickey’s death now?
