Will Julia Gillard’s ‘reading blitz’ blow illiteracy out of the water? Or has the new policy failed to address the needs to Aboriginal students?
The government has previous stated their committed to closing the gap between indigenous and non indigenous literacy, so is it really acceptable for the prime minister to announce a new literacy policy with little to no mention of aboriginal students?
