Sunday the 15th of July will see a rally outside Sydney’s town Hall in a show of support for Australia’s most famous political refugee, Julian Assange. There are some interesting statistics on the Wikileaks website. The site has faced 587 days of a banking blockade. Founder Julian Assange has endured 584 days detainment with no charges. Whistleblower Bradley Manning has spent 781 days in jail without a trial

This dire state of affairs now has a desperate Assange appealing for asylum in Ecuador. But despite everything, Wikileaks supporters remain staunch and vocal. Sunday the 15th of July will see yet another rally as a sign of support for Assange and a sign of condemnation for our government.
