Women are increasingly represented in the many people moving across borders in the SE Asia region.

These movements are driven by many causes – from fleeing danger to securing work – and can be difficult to track, even when they are done in the formal manner.

For those who are irregular migrants (those who don’t have the correct documentation, or stay beyond the limits of their approvals), the data is harder to find, and the stakes are high.
