Opponents Protest Against Development Plans at KI’s Flinders Chase National Park

Kangaroo Island is one of Australia’s top international tourist destinations.

Today outside SA’s parliament house, opponents held a protest rally against the government’s approval of the Australian Walking Company’s plan for private lodges and sleeping pods in KI’s Flinders Chase National Park.

Speakers at the rally included, Mark Parnell, a member of The Greens; Bob Brown, former Greens national leader; Caroline Paterson, former Ranger in Charge of KI and Chris Grant, Natural Heritage Manager of the National Trust of SA.
