A draft report released by the Australian Productivity Commission reveals children in the Northern Territory are four times more likely than children in other parts of Australia to come into contact with the child protection system.

Despite 500 million dollars per year being spent by the Commonwealth and Northern Territory Governments, protection service numbers are exceptionally high, further, there is a disparity between the representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the system.
