Federal Liberal backbencher Dennis Jensen outraged the ALP, Greens and many in the Indigenous community by referring to Aboriginal people who live on country as “noble savages”. It comes after former Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s “lifestyle choices” comment about funding remote Aboriginal communities last year, many of which are still confused about their future operation.
