As New Zealanders head to the polls on October 17 they will not only be voting for which party will lead their country, but also on two referenda covering euthanasia and the legalisation of cannabis.

While medical cannabis is about to become legally available in the country, if passed the new law will allow individuals more freedom to grow and consume their own supply.
