South Africans are hopeful with the new economic and political direction President Cyril Ramaphosa is taking the country.

The High Commissioner of South Africa to Australia, Beryl Sisulu, says Mr Ramaphosa has a wealth of experience and we should expect a period of stability.

President of the African Studies Association of Australasia and the Pacific, Peter Limb, notes however, that the corruption the President must deal with extends beyond politics, and into the corporate world.
