Microplastics in the ocean are one of the biggest environmental threats to both aquatic ecosystems and humans. A new project run by marine biologist Dr Jennifer Matthews from the UTS Climate Cluster and UNSW Sydney materials scientist Dr Rakesh Joshi; sets out to engage current technology and citizen science in order to remove microplastics from Australia’s marine ecosystems.
