New medicare cap affects the cost of birthing and IVF

As of next year, families will have to pay an $550 to have their baby in the private health system, unless they can persuade doctors to lower their fees. The change comes under a new cap on Medicare payments released in Tuesday’s budget, which is also expected to increase the cost of IVF.
