New bikie legislation has been introduced into the Queensland parliament this afternoon. The reforms have been labelled the ‘Vicious Lawless Association Disestablishment Bill.’ Under the new laws some correctional facilities will be for ‘bikies-only’ and those defined under the act could be sentenced for an extra 25 years. Criminal defence lawyer Bill Potts, says this is bad law that will not solve any of Queensland’s problems.
