NATO not doing enough to protect Afghan civilians

On the list of places it isn’t safe to be a civilian, Afghanistan rates right up there with hot spots like Iraq. Currently as NATO forces pursue Taliban forces in the south, they’re accidentally taking out a lot of innocent people. At least sixty people died this week as the multinational force bombarded suburban areas where they believed terrorists were hiding. Sam Zarifi from New York based organisation Human Rights Watch says it isn’t good enough and are demanding NATO change tactics and also pay compensation for the death and destruction they are causing in the lives of ordinary Afghanis.
