National Broadband Network, how long until we get really fast broadband?

With Labor now in power Australians can expect faster broadband with the governments, roll out of the National Broadband Network. The 43 billion dollar project promises to lay fibre optic cables to deliver broadband to 93 percent of Australian households, schools and businesses. Some parts of Tasmania have already received broadband but how long will the rest of us have to wait?
