This week Santos released the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Narrabri Gas Project, for public comment.

The statement details plans for the controversial 850 well coal seam gas field in north-west New South Wales.

Santos says the project “has the potential to play a significant role in the domestic energy space and could supply up to 50% of NSW gas needs.”

However, surrounding farming communities are concerned about what the project would mean for the health and quality of the land and water.
