Most people assume that if you need food aid you’re probably homeless and unemployed, the latest report by Foodbank Australia reveals that this is not the case. According to the End Hunger Report it is the ‘working poor’ that are the foremost group requiring these services. Eighty percent of the people seeking food relief from welfare agencies are low income families who simply cannot afford the additional expenses.
