Chemistry is more than electrons and protons- it can now add analysis of Aboriginal rock art to its repertoire. Chemists are now pairing with anthropologists and archaeologists to explore the origins of Aboriginal rock art. Researchers from the University of Technology Sydney have recently spent time in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory analysing the chemical composition of rock art.
