Richest man in the world, Bill Gates, has convinced the Prime Minister of Australia to increase foreign aid to try to eradicate polio. After a meeting this afternoon, Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Foreign Minister Bob Carr pledged to increase foreign aid spending to $80 million over the next four years.

But how do the countries that are affected the most from polio like Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan feel about this renewed push to increase vaccinations? Foreign aid workers in these countries may be under threat.
