The much anticipated newspoll did confirm the IPSOS poll earlier in the week with a losing margin of 48% Lib/Nat to 52% ALP.
There was some small improvement according to the IPSOS poll, but the problem for the Prime Minister was that his reason to roll Tony Abbott was “30 Bad Newspolls”.
He had to apologise for his hubris today, and the question is, doth one Budget and a lack of any credible leadership alternative give him a platform to get re-elected in less than a year?
